Rufous-naped Wren (Campylorhynchus rufinucha)

The Rufous-naped Wren is a very common bird around Costa Rica. I have seen it in houses in Ciudad Colon, constructing a nest in a palm tree in front of my neighbors house. I also saw them in Punta Morales, picking out food bits from a trash bin, and carrying to the nest on a coconut tree. These birds are very nervous and will readily fly away if they feel you are too close. They are also very noisy, particularly in groups they give their high pitched songs.
