Eastern Meadowlark (Sturnella magna)

The Eastern Meadowlark is a small bird that inhabits grasslands. We saw this individual perching in a tree in Orotina, during a Birdwatching tour with Fundacion Rapaces de Costa Rica, on April 9th, 2017. The birds normally walk in land, looking for insects, but as we walked looking for raptors, this individual preferred to rest outside of our range.
