The White-lined Tanager is so called because of the white line that the male displays on the wing when flying. The male is black while the female has brownish plumage.
I was able to get a single picture of the female but none of the male. A pair would come to my parent’s home to feed on the papaya they put for the birds. They were very nervous of my presence and did not approach at all if I was anywhere in the garden.
