Bronzy Hermit (Glaucis aeneus)

This species was difficult for me to identify, as it resembles closely the Stripe-throated Hermit, but is larger, and has a decurved bill. It also lacks the central tail feather that’s characteristic of the Stripe-throated. I photographed this individual at Cope‘s feeder, during a birdwatching trip with Fundación Rapaces de Costa Rica, on July 2nd, 2017.

I catched this Bronzy Hermit on the wing using flash. The movement of the wings is barely noticeable
