Melodious Blackbird (Dives dives)

The Melodious Blackbird is not very distinctive, with an entirely black body, bill and eyes. I identified this bird for the first time at Cope‘s feeder, during a birdwatching tour led by Fundación Rapaces de Costa Rica, on July 2nd, 2017. I have probably seen this species a bunch of time, but wasn’t aware of it, as it can be confused with the Great Grackle and the Groove-billed Ani. It is pretty common around the country, and can be found on almost any habitat.
