The place that needs no introduction. Moraine Lake is bound to be one of the prettiest lakes in the world. Going also by the name of “Valley of the Ten Peaks”, it helps to augment the mystery surrounding this lake. Sunrise is the best time of the day to observe the lake, as the slowly rising sun illuminates the peaks with golden light, changing also the color of the sky from blue to magenta in a smooth transition.
I fear to state the obvious, but isn’t this the most turquoise water I have ever seen?
The variery of tones in the sky was mesmerizing, from a hint of pink to a pale purple. Light can be magical at sunrise.
The place was crowded, so I had to look for other spots. Here, some pine trees stepped into the frame.
He enjoyed the moment. I bet the picture was wonderful and interesting.
This one is capped by ice. Rock here is very dark, unless illuminated by the morning sun.
If you turn your back to Moraine Lake, this is what you see! Not many people had interest in it, but I argue it is a wonderful view as well.
Two of the peaks in Moraine Lake. The right one looks just like a pyramid.
Five out of ten peaks are glowing red with the sun rays.
Close up view of the pyramid. An impressive form.
