Tropical Mockingbird (Mimus gilvus)

The Tropical Mockingbird, known in spanish as “Sinsonte Tropical” or “Imitador”, is a mostly gray bird that may go unnoticed due to that dull coloration. There is a pair of those birds taking up residence in Concasa; they can be seen near the lake and the multi-sport court, and most probably they are nesting nearby. Tropical Mockingbirds feel at home around residential areas, hence it is very common for them to perch on man-made structures. They have extended their range throughout the country in the last years.
